Phantom : Requiem for the phantom

                      hello people out there who were fortunate enough to stumble on to this page, i am the proud owner of this website. i decided to make this, a weekly article on the anime that i happen to watch. but this will be dedicated to the more small and less popular anime, not just the ones everyone knows.

                    this week i watched the series "Phantom : Requiem for the Phantom". i thought the show was very interesting, though the ending was a bit lacking, or should i say a LOT, lacking. the series is about a teenage boy who wakes up in a strange place with no kind of memory of his past. he is alone in this place except for a young girl who is trying to kill him. the boy shows his killer instincts by fighting her off, and almost kills her, until he saw her face. (she was wearing a mask). this girl reveals her name as "Ein", German for the number 1. she then trains him to be the perfect assassin. he is then given the name Zwei, again German for 2. they go on many missions together, killing countless people *don't watch if you're a pacifist.

                    at the end of the first season, Ein is wounded while on a mission, she then runs to their training base. Zwei goes there to look for her, and he sees that she is hurt and tries to stop the bleeding. the only way to do this is to cut the bullet out of the femoral area. he successfully does this and thus saves her life. however she is still unconscious. during this time he starts to talk to her. he then concludes that he is going to kill scythe master ( he is the one who gives them their missions, and also the one who purposefully sent Ein into the mission where she was wounded badly and out numbered). as he pulls the trigger Ein steps in the way of scythe, and blocks the bullet. the bullet hits her in the heart, then she falls into what looks like a river. that's the end of season one. (i feel i had to put this tiny part in, she isn't really dead you find that out in season 2)

                    i refuse to tell you the end of season 2. that's how crappy it is. i don't even want it on the site. 

 

                          overall, i give this show a 4/5 stars, it was very good for the most part. it shouldn't be considered bad just because the ending sucked.
